Divan base construction and upholstery The Diamond range offers a choice of two bases each providing a different comfort experience: The first of these is the sprung edge base. Support is provided by an edge to edge open coil spring unit delivering soft-to-medium comfort. In contrast, the sprung slatted base unit offers a firmer level of support reminiscent of a bedstead. You can also adjust the lumbar region slats to the fine-tune the level of firmness to suit you. Both of these base units are available in a choice of fabric covers. Mattress construction, fillings and upholstery Available in soft-to-medium tension only, the Diamond mattress is upholstered with a Coolmax(R) fabric stretch knitted cover specially designed to improve air circulation and reduce humidity. The core is made from 100% Dunlopillo latex that gives instant pressure relief , this means that when you move in the night it is less likely to disturb your sleep. It also has natural anti-microbial properties. These keep away dust mites, bacteria and fungi that frequently find homes in mattresses and pillows and helps to alleviate allergies, making this model particularly beneficial if you suffer from respiratory problems. The open cell structure of Dunlopillo Latex allows your mattress not only to 'breathe' but also provides the ultimate in comfort and support. Under bed storage This can be a great hidden asset! Fixtures and Fittings All Dunlopillo divans are supplied on high quality nickel-plated castors with fittings for a UK-style strutted headboard. The manufacturer still recommends that you rotate the head and foot ends on a monthly basis. As a Dunlopillo mattress needs to breathe it is not recommended for use with a platform/solid divan base or for use on top of boards. Delivery For access purposes the base of a double (135cm) divan is delivered in two pieces, split vertically from top to bottom (north to south). Please ensure you have sufficient access to your chosen room. The mattress is delivered in 1 piece. As part of our Premier Delivery Service your furniture will be unwrapped and placed in position by our professionally trained delivery team. Alternatively if you choose to collect your furniture from your nearest local store or distribution centre, please unwrap with care. Some self assembly may be required.
